Does anyone know where I can find or have a link to any imformation on the pin assingments for The ISO and other connections on the back of a GAMMA head unit ? I saw one once but have no idea where ! It was nice and detailed saying excatly which each pin did, would come in very handy right now !

Does the original stereo not have a sticker on it with a guide to the pin configuration? I seem to remember seeing a diagram on mine the last time I had it out of the dash. If you're struggling, I'll take mine out again and try and take a photo of it for you.

It does, however they are all in abreviated form, and I am trying to identify the what the following pins are on the CD changer socket , clock, +UB and SW+.

UB+ = Permanent 12v supply,
Clock = The Data clock signal for the CD Databus,
SW+ = Switched 12v to turn on changer comunnications.

Cheers for that, mm data clock.
As I mentioned in another thread the Gamma unit i took out is manufactured by blaupunkt and I now have a blaupunkt mp56. I tried pluggin in the cable from the in dash 6 cd changer, but it did not work. It looks like the pin assigments are different so if I can work out which is which i should be able to switch them round to make them work, I am presuming that same manufact , they should work together.
Anyway the only one I am not sure about is the "Data clock" on my unit there is a pin for bus / GND and AF / GND and on the CD changer there is GND and Clock. All the over pins I can identify. I now know that UB is permanent 12v and sw is switchable, I just have to work out if it is,
AF / GND to GND and BUS GND to Clock Data , or the over way round.

Not that easy I'm afraid, the actual data structure is different, the factory fit unit speaks VW changer language, the aftermarket unit speaks Blaupunkt changer language.
However if you purchase a Blaupunkt adapter part no 7607 596 550, It will allow the aftermarket unit to talk to the original VW changer.
