Golf gt tdi climatronic upgrade

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to upgrade the standard manual air con to the climatronic digital readout display??? Is it as simple as purchasing the unit and pluging it in???Have seen the climatronic units on ebay for £75...Is it possible????

It is possible (people have done it) but you'll also need;

Complete clima heater unit with all the flap motors.
A complete clima wiring loom.

To fit it you will need to;

De-gas your system.
Take the dash out completely to swap the heater units.
Install the wiring looms (probably the hardest bit).
Re-gas the system.


In all honesty it is probably easier to sell the car and then buy one with clima already installed.
