Test drove the 245 and the bi turbo last week and decided on the biturbo as was a much nicer drive. They were both black edition which I don't want as the wheels look lovely but the ride suffers and I'm also not keen on the tints.
The spec I am looking at is a bi turbo saloon S line.
Daytona Grey
Black leather
Electric memory seats
Heated seats front and rear
75 l fuel tank
4 zone climate
tech pack advanced which gives folding memory wing mirrors
sports diff
advanced key
lighting pack
storage pack
bose
Got a good price from a dealer in York which the local guy can't match although I am waiting to see if he will. Price is still pretty scary but should save some money in fuel costs if I don't drive like a lunatic all the time!! My car is running great but the offers at the moment are very good.
Anything i have missed? Do a lot of motorway miles hence the reason for the tech pack advanced. Was thinking about adding the heated steering wheel and maybe the rear airbags.
Cheers, Scott.

Wow, sounds like a great car
Pan roof is excellent
Bose is fab
Just be careful of price of extras, not worth a single penny come trade in time, sunroof is the only thing dealers say is worth money
I ordered the rear side airbags, good for kids safety, can also recommend rear blinds if you don't go for privacy glass
The deals are good now because the money they offer in px is rubbish, they try to make 7-8k per deal
My A6 was 39k, after 18 months with 30k on clock being offered less than 18!
A6 is a great car with great tech.

Great spec.
If you are going for 4 zone climate and heated rear seats I guess you have (older) children. If this is the case I would go for rear airbags and I ma sure they would love the pan roof. I have it and my kids love it!
Bit of a belter on cost but I also have the LED headlights which are great for the winter.
Either way there is no way you are going to be disappointed with a 313 and that spec.
Enjoy!

I did think about the airbags. Haven't ordered yet so will probably add them. Heard mixed reports about the sunroof and haven't had one for ages so I think I will give it a miss. Fancy the LEDs but the price is crazy for what it is.
i also like the idea of the HUD but can't see one to decide.

Yes, they say lots of things. It's always a different story in the real world.
Take our sunroof for example...please :D

I think the S line has bi xenons... Instead of springing for the full LEDs consider just adding the adaptive lights. Gets you pretty close without the full sticker shock.
apart from that the heated sets all round with the 4 zone is a no brainer. Well you need heated fronts as a minimum and adding the rears is chump change
looks like a really nice car!

Should be nice- much preferred the engine and gearbox compared to the 245 but the 20" wheels were pretty hard and did nothing for the ride. My audi is getting on and when I get into my wife's you really notice it even though hers is an A4 it rides so much better.
The road holding and handling is a lot better in the new cars. My commute is 25 miles of mixed roads and town driving and the car behaved impeccably with the added bonus of better economy. The boot seems smaller-maybe shallower but should be ok and I have a roof box if necessary.
thanks for all the replies and ideas. You really could go nuts with the options.

Interesting comment regarding engine and gearbox, most people seem to rate the 7 Spd S-Tronic over the 8 Spd Tiptronic (I have the Tiptronic with the 245ps). What steered your preference do you think, the increased power, different gearbox or combination of both?
Plus 1 for the adaptive headlights, I have no experience of the all LED but I like the adaptive Xenons which I find work well and are certainly bright; if maybe not as bright as the all LED, whic apparently also benefit from a light closer to natural daylight?
Regarding the HUD.... For me one of the must have features. I know some have issue with the asthetics of integration, however, in terms of presentation of information I love it and the safety benefits of just having the information I front of you at all times, while being able to monitor the road at all times vice bringing your head into the cockpit is great.

Don't think you get memory mirrors with tech pack unless it's been recently changed. You only get electrically adjustable and folding mirrors I thought....

You get memory mirrors with the tech pack advanced and memory seats. My wife is a bit smaller than me and I cant get into the car after she has been driving it, so this feature really appealed - the memory mirrors were just a bonus.

The car I drove with the 245 engine was an Avant. I don't know if it was because of the way the previous drivers had been using it but it seemed to be searching for gears and there was the usual hesitation at junctions. It was certainly silky smooth while driving along but under acceleration seemed to hunt a bit. The biturbo was a saloon (my preference) and whether it was the engine or the gearbox, it was a nicer drive.
Really do fancy the HUD but would need to see it first. My wife is already giving me grief because I was going to add a heated steering wheel!!

Buy her some gloves. You can transfer them between vehicles too. :-))))

No memory seats included with the tech pack advanced I'm afraid.

No they are a £920 extra. For me they are a good addition and prefer that over a sunroof.
