I've recently had problems with the aircon blowing concentrated hot air through the dash vents only and not the footwells. Managed to replace the flap motor on the passenger side by removing the glove box (lots of pics on forums to help). The passenger side warm air is distributing just fine now, but I still need to fix the driver's side.

I've ordered part number 8E2820511, the motor with a yellow arm. As far as I can tell, the driver's side motor is much harder to access, and I can't find a picture of it in situ anywhere.

Can anyone help with a picture or a guide, before I start hacking away in my driver's footwell?

Well, I had a go, but it just defeated me. The driver's side motor is almost completely hidden from view, and you have to work blind, by touch alone. Worse for me is that you can only really use your right hand, and I am left handed. It took me a full hour just to release the three retaining screws, by which time I realised there was no chance of me getting the new motor in place, connected to the flap linkage and working before dark.

So the car's at the garage just now, and I'm going to have a bacon sandwich.
