Yup, for those of you not already up to speed' I managed to curb both n/s wheels, embarrassingly the first one was done 1 week, yup count the weeks, 1, after getting the car and the second in Sept whilst in
Cornwall. Not just curbee but knocked silly great chunks off :zx11: Anyhoo, been waiting to see what more damage I could add to the roster but when none seemed forthcoming decided to do something about it. Took them over to Basingstoke last week and picked em up today, Blooming marvellous, better than new in my opinion and only £60 + vat each. well worth doing and now I don't have to park with the nearside against the wall so I don't see the damage in the mornings! Result!

Any chance of before and after pic's? How were they done do you know?

Didn't take any pics but believe me they were pretty ropey, now all smooth and sparkly. They clean the wheels in a giant dishwasher type thing, then blast them then acid dip to remove any remaining paint and dirt then powder coat a primer on, spray and powder coat the laquer, supposed to be more durable than just paint. Interesting thing was, the Audi finish kinda stopped at the spokes, inside the wheel was a dull grey finish. They look better now they are completely silver.

That's a fantastic price! I assume by "Basingstoke" you mean the dealer there?
My N/S front is damaged after I was forced up a kerb by an obviously-blind Puegeot driver last week.

Do you mean the alloy refurb place over by the council tip (not sure if we can mention the name!)

No, not the dealer, he offered (bless him) but it would have been a mobile guy, same price as well. Can't mention the name of the business but he's not far from the A33 near Daneshill. Highly recommended.

Why can't you mention the name? Is there a forum rule I've missed?

Might be seen as advertising on the forum, we are not supposed to promote businesses that arn't sponsors ( I think).

I wouldn't give it a second thought. I've mentioned my great experience with Tyre Leader before now, and that was only as a result of another forum poster suggesting I try them.

I don't think there's a rle for that, it's more for the knobheeds who sign up to advertise their business for free, if fact there is a Dealer Recommendation sub forum methinks.

And here it is Reviews & Recommendations of Dealers, Independant Garages & Breakers Sponsored by Volks Auto (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/forumdisplay.php?43-Reviews-amp-Recommendations-of-Dealers-Independant-Garages-amp-Breakers-Sponsored-by-Volks-Auto)

Mister Hex is correct, please recommend away.

We only take issue with people who come on here to promote their own business either under the guise of being a 'normal' member or by shamelessly spamming for work.

Recommendations from members for other members is encouraged ;)

Really know there stuff, only slight problem is that its not as quick as a man in a van. 2-3 days last time I used them. But you get a proper job.
