I have the advanced key; ( 'hands free boot opening via waving foot below bumper' ) option fitted. I would like the operation of this to operate with a bit more certainty when trying to impress the ladies etc. Who has this option? And what tips can they offer to make it work every time? Currently i am in the realms of "50% of the time; it works every time". You end up looking a bit of a div when it does not work etc.

Ehmm could do. This is potentially very useful for boot opening (salloon or avant i believe) when car covered in crud/ hands full etc. just wish I could master the foot wave.

Looks like two schools of thought :banghead:
John Cleese technique (1.40 min in):

Bug squash technique:

…the aroma of Sex Panther and shiny shoes might help too :D

This forum is Amazing. Fest: Thanks for your (quick) responses: I now have two other gesture options to try: The Bruce Lee - Kick; and; The 80,s - Stomp. Uptil now; I have been attempting a 'foot sweep' gesture with on/off success rate. You Stay Classy.

Perhaps a sliding tackle style maneuver?

I'm at around 95% certainty by "placing" my foot just under the bumper at the centre rear for half a second and bringing straight back out.
Any sort of angle other than straight or too close to the road and not the bumper, can throw it off.

I can't help but be reminded of Lee Evan's "I love my gadgets" piece

Don't know the Lee Evens sketch ; but take your point this is all a bit OTT/big boys toys etc; with car park dancing thrown in for good measure.
