Few Questions on turbos

1) How much can i sell my broken turbo for to recon turbo companies??

2) Whats the difference between a £250 garrett ebay recon turbo to a £500 G-Force Euro Car Parts Turbo??

1) No idea - eBay completed listings is usually a good benchmark.

2) A proper warranty and some comeback.

call turbo technics. place your turbo in a box, courier collects. you get a working turbo back as good as it gets. job done, no peeing about.

I can only really comment on AET Turbos - Turbo Specialists (http://www.aet-turbos.co.uk/) who built a fantastic hybrid turbo for a few Subaru's, a few Pulsar GTi-R's and a stupendous turbo for an R34 GTR (single turbo conversion) when my friend used to run a tuning garage.

Ditto
Just had wife's polo turbo reconditioned by Turbo Techniks An excellent engineering job and service. They are not the cheapest but you get what you pay for.
T.T. make turbo balancing M/Cs for other Turbo makers.
Each turbo is supplied with a comprehensive test report.

How much are you looking for roughly with turbo technics turbo? I bought a G-Force one of Euro Car Parts and they are £500+ and they say that if a recon turbo is in between the price range of £500 & £1000 you know its done properly without china parts.

dial 01604 705050 and ask them. they will need the numbers off yours to get an exact match.

If you've already bought it I'm a bit confused by this whole thread.

ah, is see. he has bought this g force one and wants to sell his old busted one to recoup some money, and wants to know the difference between a cheap 250 quid turbo and one for 500 pounds.
well, your old one is worth not a lot, maybe 20 pounds. ask a turbo place if they want it. probably cost more in postage than you would get for it.
