Hi
Whilst checking over my car the other day I noticed the Audi logo on the engine cover had gone AWOL! Been having a look around and can't seem to find a replacement of the right size.

Also the previous owner has 'partly debadged' the rear of the car so I have the A4 Badge on the left and a Quattro badge on the right - below where I guess a "3.0 TDI" badge used to sit.....

Anyone have any ideas for replacement outside of a main dealer purchase?

Many thanks

I could live without the engine cover one, but reckon the main dealer is your only option. The badge has decent 3M or similar foam adhesive backing material. Prepare the area well, and choose a dry, warmish day to apply.

Many thanks for that. I assume the right hand edge of both existing quattro and new 3.0TDI badges need to line up....

Yep, with the new badges you should get 'guides' or a template which will ensure correct positioning.

Hi Guys
Finally got around to buying the rear badge - see attached
It is still not clear to me how to position this 100% correctly - having now seen what you get does anyone have any suggestions so the height is correct as per the factory please?
Many thanks

IIRC there's a page on the exact badge locating measurements in ELSAWin. Not got access to that here, I will try and find it later.

My Audi logo is missing off my engine cover (2006, 2.0TDI). Where has it gone and can I get a new one for less than a squillion pounds? :)

Maybe it's on the undertray?

You can't normally get a new engine cover badge without the engine cover. They fall off after a few years so anyone who still has theirs should squirt some glue under it or pull it off and glue it back on properly..

Thanks snapdragon. I'll have a look in the morning. Might just have to get a new car if I can't find it!

No sign of it. I am amazed that they can work themselves loose. Seems like it had some little pegs located in holes on the cover. Clearly not strong enough to hold it.
