Hi, I'm looking to source a set from across the pond. I'm in the US and we have the amber that just kills the look of the front of the car. If anyone can point in the right direction. Thanks in advance!

LED not Xenon.
Also can the DRLs not be switched off in the MMI?

Oops, yeah LED.
Yeah they can but the option needs to be enabled in VCDS first of all.

Great looking car btw, the mesh grill looks really good when you don't have to spoil it with a front license plate.
How are the roads where you are? I would imagine you must be brave to go with the lowered suspension in the northen states where the cold weather really kills the road surface quality.

I'm from Southern California. We have been having a heat wave in the middle of winter for awhile. The car is on air suspension now so I don't have to worry about horrible roads. It rides nice and firm with the advantage of instant ride height adjust-ability.
This is max low.

That is .....
..... not to my taste. :-)))))))
Seriously though, would the car pass regional regulations if you replaced the lights with ones without the amber reflectors? Or would it not matter as it's aftermarket? I'm dangerously assuming that the LEDs were standard or else why add them if you were going to look to change them? They're very expensive in the UK.
Is that Daytona Grey (Gray to you :-)) I haven't seen mine in sunlight yet!

I think it looks to light to be Daytona, looks real nice, kindly classy. Just out of interest what part of SoCal? Spent some time in Corona a while back, really friendly people. :D

It's quartz metallic gray. For some reason it does look a bit like Daytona. My friend just picked up his A5 in Daytona, I installed his ecodes for him.
Regarding the laws and regulations, I have never had issues. We don't have inspections for that type of thing. We just have the strictest smog regulation and I never touch the exhaust system. Plus I never have a car that long to actually get a car smogged.
The amber is what i'm trying to get rid of, not the LEDs. I already vagcom the light to turn off without issue but taking out the amber would make the car look so much cleaner! How I envy you guys...
Daytona Gray A5 and Quartz Metallic Gray A6.

So they have been on for awhile and work perfectly. Minus the bulb out error I have been trying to code out. Can anyone help with this?

You need to disable the option for the side marker in the cent elec or bcm control modules in vcds.

Hi Chris, I did that and deleted all the fault codes and it will come on the second I use my turn signals.

I haven't touched that. Where is that located? I unchecked the US amber lights.

Looks like you dropped a few $$$ on that sweet ride, but if you want a low budget interim solution, you could use chrome tint film. I did this in Illinois with the amber side lights on my old A6 and looked tons better. Got stopped and because it shone through when hitting the turn signals, Will county PD let me off.

The ecode LED headlights are worthy it! Just the bulb out is wearing on me.
