Cabriolet headlight bulb upgrade

The convertible has 12v 60/55w H4's which I upgraded using Halfords Extreme Brilliance bulbs. The problem is they just don't give me the brightness I need, particularly considering most of my journeys are dark country roads.

My main problem is the avant has Xenon headlights which are a huge contrast. Any advise on a replacement bulb would be appreciated. Cheers.

you could buy a pair of elipsoids for it, but they are lots of money and won't give you much better lights. mine are ok, but will never be a match for xenons. they are old dim headlights, and nothing is a match for hids unless you fit hids, which is illegal.
the main advantage of the elipsoids is that they look the nuts.
