Am buying an A4 B5 estate 1999
I would like to get its hydraulic filter changes in the auto box plus new hydraulic oil as its done 150k miles.

Im not able to do it myself due to a dodgy knee and getting under the car so am thinking of taking it to an independent garage.

A couple of questions, what would be a reasonable price to pay plus any recommendations in North Cumbria

Thanks guy's its my first post.

Depending on whether your car requires the higher spec ZF Lifeguard synthetic fluid (Usually referred to by ESSO spec LT71141), it can be a little pricey.
It's very labour intensive due to the fill procedure, and part of the exhuast often needs removing to remove the transmission pan.
i recently had my S8 done. Labour alone was AU$600 (about £350).
Filter and pan seal kit was quite cheap - AU$40-50 ( £20-30)
Fluid - well this depends what you need. Transmissions with a green coloured label usually require the synthetic fluid.
A service requires 6-8 litres, which can cost around AU$150 (£80)
