Congrats and can't wait for the pics!
Enjoy ;)
Thanks A6_Chris. I did try uploading a picture from my phone but no luck, I will upload some tomorrow once I have the car.

Well I picked up the car last night, WOW. Unfortunately it was too late to take pictures but I will definately be taking some over the weekend and post them up then.
I can't keep the grin off my face...
The final Spec I went for was
2.0 TDI Black Edition
Automatic
Mettalic Glacier White
Heated Front Seats
Electric Seats With Memory
Electric Folding Door Mirrors
Colour DIS
Lighting Package
4 Zone Climate Control.
While i'm on just a couple of questions.
1. Apart from the puddle Lights / Door handle lights, what else does the lighting package have?
2. Does the colour DIS show the reverse sensor image when reversing? I thought it did but I can't see a setting for it anywhere.
3. I'm looking to get GAP insurance and Maybe alloy wheel insurance, can anyone recommend a good place? I will be speaking to Chris Knott about the GAP insurance but I don't think they do alloy wheel insurance.
Thanks,
Az

1. The lighting package also includes lights in the door cards, in the front footwells and under the front seats. The brightness can be adjusted via the MMI.
2. The parking sensor display is only on the central MMI screen, not the DIS.

Congratulations on the new car!
Check that you car insurance does not include "new vehicle replacement" in the event of total loss during the first year - some do (my policy, via M&S, does as it is one of the requirements that they put on the underwriters that they represent). I plan to get GAP at the end of year 1....

I got my gap instance from gapinsurance 123. Paid £127 including IPT for 3 years cover with a £15k claim limit, certainly a lot less than Audi were wanting!

Interesting. I have LEDs in the footwells, under the front seats, puddle lights but not in the door handles but don't have the lighting package so I would assume it's just lights in the door handles?

As standard you get front door puddle lights, illuminated interior door handles and lights under the seats and in the front footwells plus ambient lighting, map lights front and rear and illuminated vanity mirrors. Lighting pack adds rear puddle lights, changes the passive door reflectors to active (they light up!) and lights under the wing mirrors also adds additional lighting in the door trims and puts a light in the centre storage compartment. I think it also changes the interior lights all to LEDs but that may only be with the Ambient Lighting Option

Good point, my 3 year policy is actually for years 2-4 as the first year was covered by my car insurance that provided replacement in the even of a write-off in Year 1. Not all Gap policies allow you to defer the first year. Also check that the Gap Policy is transferrable should you sell the car before the policy ends
Thanks guys. Will have a look around for the best gap deal. For the price its well worth having as I bought the car on Pcp and don't want to risk losing out. On the Lighting package I'm glad i got it as i just like the look of the puddle lights on the extetnal door handles.

The lighting package is worth it for the external LEDs and the strip LED's (that extend the full width of the door cards) alone. The dome, glove box, boot, reading X 4 , vanity mirrors x 2 are not LED's, but it's a simple job to change for about £20 quid, if you like that kind of thing, I do, so did it.

Congrats on the car.
Don't buy GAP until you have spoken to your insurer, most offer a new replacement for new cars written off with one owner from new within its first year.

Same here, from the same place. The gap insurance also starts at the end of the 1st year during which my normal insurance will replace the car, so in effect 4 year cover.
Cool. Thanks guys I will have a look into this. I wasnt aware that insurance companies did that. I will give them a call.

I have the Full LED ambient lighting package; lights on door handles: sill guards etc. I see reference to 'illuminated central storage compartment (the sliding door one?) in this thread. My issue is that I don't have this; so am wondering if I have defective light somewhere. Can someone provide more details on the illuminated cubby?? If confirmed; I will go back to my dealer. Thanks.
I only have the lighting package and thought that the compartment was lit aswel but unfortunately not.
Another query though, i thought the armrest moved forward and back in addition to up and down. I can't get it to move back and forward am i doing something wrong? Or is it not meant to move back and forward?

I do not have the lighting pack but my understanding was that it is the compartment under the armrest that is illuminated when the lighting pack is specified rather than the space where an ashtray would go if the smoking option is specified

I thought that as well, unfortunately the armrest is fixed, a bit of a disapointment after my A4 in which it did indeed slide, I love my lighting pack, sorry to say I sometimes just go and sit in it while it's in the drive just so I can look at all the effects. Pretty!
When I got the car on Monday I was a bit dissapointed with the lighting pack as the interior lights were turned down so I couldn't see them. After having a play around and turning them up? I'm really glad I got them. I love yhe ambient lighting in thw footwells and doors. I now believe it wad money well spent.

Arghh. Bit gutted about the armrest as it just feels that little bit too far back. Although my other car (15 year old bmw 3 series) doesn't even have one so I suppose I can live with it.
