Burning smell from heating
Started car from cold, 6 degrees outside, drove for about 5 mins with climate control heater temp set at 25 degrees. Stopped for 5 mins at shop and drove off again and a burning smell came from my heater system inside the car? Quite a strong smell, but only lasted for a minute or so. I lowered the temp on the air con as I thought I was maxing out the heating? Everything still seems to function as normal, but concerned I have damaged something?
On a completely separate occasion about 4 days before the above.
Stop Start - Half Stopped
Driving along fine, stopped at a junction and Stop / start cut out engine as normal, but my foot was not rested on the clutch properly so to reposition my foot I released the clutch and immediately put my foot back down again in a better position. The car obviously started but did not stop again when I applied the clutch. The motor ran very lumpy, running as though it was trying to stop but kept running at the same time, like running on two cylinders only? I had to restart the car on the ignition and it ran normally again.
I guess I shouldn’t have pressed the clutch so quickly?
Any thoughts.
