Just tinkering on the audi configurator - As you do. Got a diesel A6 spec'ed up to £93,310 by literally ticking everything :-) This got me wondering, do you think that anyone, anywhere in the world, has paid £1650 extra for exclusive seatbelts. Or £2100 for carpets. Or £830 for exclusive controls or ....

I once spoke to an R8 driver in Calais on the way back from LM and he told me I would never see another that colour as he had chose the colour from a pan tone chart and Audi obliged ...for a price !!"

If I ever buy a brand new car, I'll be ticking the box for Audi Exclusive Paint and getting it painted in lovely Night Blue :p

I think the exclusive paint on the A6 is £2155. When you consider the price of a wrap and what some people pay for 'rims' if I was in the market for an R8 I think I would pay that kind of money extra to get it some specific colour I like. Maybe BMW Estoril Blue just to confuse folk :-)

There's a thread somewhere on a forum where a guy ordered a specific blue for an M3 and when he went all the way to Germany to pick it up it was the wrong blue. Ooooooops.
