I have a 62 plate C7 with HDD Sat Nav. I have successfully coupled my Android phone and have full internet connection and everything is Hunky Dory. Except that the traffic information only appears JUST as I am getting to the blockage. I have never had an alternative route suggested. These options are set as "on " in the Sat Nav settings. Is this unusual as with my TomTom it used to warn me many miles ahead, but the Audi system seems to be "you are now in the sh*t and you will be delayed, rather than suggesting alternative routes. It also shows delays that often have disappeared when we get there so some lag in information?

Michael.

Just as a matter of interest, what phone are you using?

Mine is brilliant and re-routes me miles ahead of any incident. The only time it tends to let me join a que of traffic is if the satnav isnt set.

So it looks like I am a) planning my routes at the right time of day and/or b) not hitting any avoidable delays. Mmmmm. Will continue to use and see what happens, Suppose in part I am used to TomTom say "there is xxx delay on your route. You are still on the quickest route" which the MMI does not do.

The SD system does do reroutes you have to make sure it is selected in Navigation Settings menu. It is called Dynamic Route Guidance or similar. However the TMC system has very limited coverage compared to the Google based system available for those with HDD system and Audi Connect (and of course a means of actually getting Audi Connect to work!!)

Hi, similar question.

Going home yesterday saw the red/white stripe on the road showing a problem, bit obvious as I was already stuck in it :-)

When I went into Traffic Info, it was the last entry in a very long list. Most of the entries were for incidents hundreds of miles away from where I was located.

Is there a way of getting it to show local roads, say within 50 miles of current location, either on the map or by filtering the list?

thanks.

Common request but unfortunately not. The only time it shows congestion that is relevant to you is when you have a route planned but of course for much of the time you are driving a known route and do not use the navigation.
