Hi,
I have returned to Audi. I ordered a new Avant Black Edition.
I would like it to look a bit wider at the rear, are anyone running spacers with the 20" alloys?
Thanks.

Because the black edition with 20" wheels looks too subtle/narrow at the rear??

I think it will look a treat! especially with some nice flames painted on the sides and a bit of orange fur on the dash. Go for it mate.

Hi, I ordered a A6 Avant, 2.0l TDI, multitronic, Black, Black Edition, heated seats.
My colleague has a non black edition but with the same alloys as mine. I've had a TTS, A5 Black Edition, and some BMWs over the last year so this is natural progression! I couldn't justify the extra cost of the 3.0l engine for more refinement and 14bhp.
Just to clarify I do not modify cars, it was just a thought. But contradicting myself - has anyone had success in a remap?

And greater MPG & possible resale value, just in case you hadn't read the thread about it.

Fair point. I have also discovered the flappy paddles are an extra! Something I didn't check, and wished I had.

I think you may have misunderstood. The 3L has greater MPG (in real life) over the 2L Multi.
Are they charging for paddles nowadays?

Not sure you are right there. Page 24 of current (Nov13) A6 Brochure under standard equipment for S-Line

I wish I had known this! Really struggling with my 2.0 to get decent mileage out of it :-(

What mileage do you get if you don't mind me asking? What type of journeys do you drive?

I manage to eek 50 - 52 mpg on a 40 mile motorway journey. If I go at 60 mph.
At 70, I'm looking more 43, 44 mpg. Fairly rubbish, really. Especially when Audi quote 64.2 mpg for Extra Urban. Utter tripe.

I'd actually be fairly happy with that. I've never once had it into the 50s, ever. Not even in the warmer weather. Sounds like you're getting 2L manual sort of MPG there.
Unless this is sarcasm on your part, in which case, my "thing" didn't go off I'm afraid.
