View Full Version : Do I have adaptive headlights

Purchased a used A6 S-line last week (just gone 1 yr old) and I'm still getting to grips with everything.

When I turn the car on, the lights point downwards, then upwards again after a few seconds, I guess this is the auto level calibration. On the MMI, I also have the setting option for tourist mode. (by the way, I have SD NAV and still have this option! Many posts on here say you require HDD NAV)

The question is, do I have adaptive headlights? I haven't noticed the light turning according to the steering wheel when going round turns - any way I can check this?

Cheers

When the headlights go up and down they should also go left and right if adaptives are fitted. You could check the PR codes in the spare wheel well on the sticker too and punch them into http://igorweb.org/equidec/

Tourist mode should be there on any car with Xenons (normal and adap) and any MMI system I would be guessing.

Mine only go up and down so I guess that answers my question.

I was playing on VCDS earlier and saw one of the options that related to adaptive lighting ticked, which is what prompted me to check.

Thanks for the quick reply!
