Dashboard warning light

Hi new guy here,
Just purchased my first Audi a4 Avant Estate, and it has been a great car so far. Driving home from work today and got a beep that i would usually associate with low on fuel. I looked down at the dash and a warning light had come on.
It was the one with a circle with three bars down left and right sides. As the handbook didnt come with the car, I have no idea what this means.Obviously, I dont know if i can still drive the car or not, but i do need it for work.
Can anyone give me a clue please?

sounds like brake pad warning

Hi, have you found the cause of the warning light?
Was there a 3 beep sound every time you switched ignition on?

Suspect the cause was brakes, and yes the warning beep went off on start-up
