Hi there, does anyone have any experiences with this?

MMI/RNS-E-Style Navigation/Bluetooth/GPS/USB/iPod Retrofit Audi A4 B8 2008-2013 | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MMI-RNS-E-Style-Navigation-Bluetooth-GPS-USB-iPod-Retrofit-Audi-A4-B8-2008-2013-/281082597795?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_GPSSystems_G PSSystems&hash=item4171d411a3)

Am i right in thinking that these are aftermarket and replace the original screen?

The a4 we have has a colour screen but no Nav, it has a SD card slot if that helps...

Would this work??

Thanks for raising this question, the answer to which I shall be keenly interested to hear. I hope somebody with experience of this will give us a good account of it.

Also interested in how this works, particularly as the current screen shows oil level etc. Wonder if some of the major features are missing?

I think the screen is replaced with touchscreen and when media is selected the aftermarket nav kicks in. You'll still have your normal phone, radio features just like stock.

As always quick and informative A6_Chris, this does look interesting... It makes me wonder why the shark fin style antenna is needed if this gadget is able to pickup a signal OK.

Sharkfin is used for Bluetooth in most cases.

I used to think that but my A4 does not have the shark fin and has bluetooth... I guess the only benefit for the NAV is that it would pick up a signal at high speed... but don't think I would be fiddling around with a satnav at that speed anyway..
