Silver car...black fin?

Why on earth do I have a black fin on top of my silver B8?! Like seriously? I picked up my Audi approved b8 last Saturday beautiful, and only kinda thought about the black fin? Anyone care to share? How can I take it off and replace/re-spray? It's bugging the hell out of me now lol

Could be aftermarket as both A4s I've had on loan have had factory body coloured shark-fins.

Does the car have bluetooth?

Definitely aftermarket as mine is body-colour (Aruba blue) and my mate's is silver.

[...maybe it'll float off with some hot soapy water :D]

2008 car. I think it is factory.. They never stated it wasn't? It is Audi approved vehicle?

Odd, all the other 2008 B8s on AT and Audi seem to have colour coded sharkfins.

Punch the codes from your data sticker in your spare wheel well or front page inside cover of your service book into http://igorweb.org/equidec/ and that'll tell you if the BT is factory fit.

I've just seen another lad with a black fin on a monza silver car...he doesn't state that it's aftermarket as he has listed his mods

Thats SDUK's old car who's on this forum.

However seeing the bigger pic it is indeed black, maybe it was thing that only affected early 08 cars?

Mine is an 08 with a colour coded fin. Pearlecent lava grey.

And as far as I'm aware, I don't have Bluetooth, it had a Parrot fitted when I bought the car, and that's all I've ever used.

A number of the first 2008 B8s had black fins and were not colour coordinated. Luckily, my car is black but did notice this on 2 others as looking a bit odd

My 2010 A4 B8 never come with a shark fin just a plain roof and it has factory fitted bluetooth

My previous car was a mid 08 saloon and it had a black fin not colour coded fitted from the factory. I assumed that the bluetooth low prep cars were non colour coded.
Mine was an SE with no sat nav or anything just had the bluetooth. The newer facelift cars MY2012 have no fins at all if there is no sat nav.
