Hi All,
I'm new on here.
I Own a B6 model 2007 57 Passat 1.9 TDI S.
Had issues with the electronic parking brake. Showing park brake fault when applying the park brake. Replaced the switch, which didn’t resolve the issue.
Took it to VW for a software update and they’d suggested changing the Park brake control module.
Sourced a used parkbrake control module (Same part number etc).
Before replacing the parkbrake control module carried out and saved a complete Auto scan of the car.
Now following the Ross tech procedure, and recoding the ABS J104 module & the J540 parkbrake module I’m left with 2 fault codes (see auto scan below).
01423 - Lateral Acceleration Sensor (G200)
005 - No or Incorrect Basic Setting / Adaptation
01279 - Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor (G251)
005 - No or Incorrect Basic Setting / Adaptation
When I’m following the instructions to enable basic settings for Lateral Acceleration Sensor (G200), Group 063 is showing as Error in red ‘I’m unable to activate the [ON/OFF/Next] to enable basic settings.
This also the case for enabling basic settings for Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor (G251),
Group 20 is showing as Error in Red and ‘I’m unable to activate the [ON/OFF/Next] to enable basic settings.
As a result, the yellow park brake symbol is flashing on the IP and The ESP / Traction light remains illuminated.
Any ideas on how to fix this please would be much appreciated.
