Ver 12.12 of VCDS is now giving the option of turning on or off the Driver Steering Recommendation hint.
Some years back there was discussion if this was available as that option was always off in Steering Assist 44, Adaption. However the option for ESP 440 is now shown. Tried it last night and "1" was available and capable of being saved. And being called back and shown as "ON"
Realise not eveyone likes DSR what with it giving a judder to the steering wheel when you've probably already lost the front end! But the euro safety-krats seem to think it a good idea, and for back in 2005 was quite advanced for its time. Havn't lost the front end, deliberately or otherwise today. But there is a wet leaves-strewn airport perimeter road that I'm tempted to see what happens

Anyone had experience of DSR? Did it help or hinder?
