Golf Estate Water in spare tyre well

I have just noticed an inch or so of water has collected in the spare tyre well. No sign of boot carpets or surrounds damp. Is this an issue that been covered before -unable to find it on search? Any advise on how this water is entering the car to collect here ? Car is Mk V1 Estate 2012 model

Is your rear wash working ok. If weak likely the hose split somewhere. Mine (hatch) split between body and hatch under gaiter.
