The drivers side headlamp bulb failed today in our Golf Mk5. Having had a 2006 Polo previously I thought that I was in for some disassembly and cursing - but what a difference. The Polo bulb was inaccessible without removing the fuel filter assembly and even then had some stupid connector assembly inside the headlight - the Golf on the other hand could not be better - a simple twist off cover, followed by a twist off bulb holder - replace the bulb and job done. Fantastic; the hardest point was opening the bulb packaging.
