Mrs BR drives 24,000 miles a year and last year she bought an Ibiza. The hard driver's seat has given her ischeal bursitis, which is inflammation of the slippery fluid sac that surrounds the sit bones of the pelvis. She's in agony and fears that she may have to give up her area sales management job.

The car is the base model Ibiza - do more expensive models have softer or better trimmed seats? If we swopped the seat for something softer out of a French car I guess we'd have problems with the side airbag, right?

I guess a 1.2 diesel Ibiza isn't really built for repping, is it?

We are trying bubble wrap, cushion rings and a sheepskin (as used in hospitals to relieve pressure in immobile patients) but would appreciate suggestions from other Ibiza owners.

Thanks!

I always found the lower spec seats a nightmare the fr will probably have lumber support that would help if you can get a couple of for front seats that should keep the airbag issue at bay too.

Seats are interchangeable with most VAG cars of the same era. If you can get hold of VRS seats or highline seats they might help. 24 4 on the standard seat isn't too appealing

Why not get the wife to try the seats in few cars before you change them, they might not be more comfortable for her.
