I'm well aware that this drive shaft is heading for a 'fall' there is considerable slack in the spline drive has anybody replaced these parts? I guess second hand parts would not be an option as it is a common problem how much needs replacing? part assembly 02N 409 344 E for certain & the stub shaft 02N 409 345 plus all the bit & pieces. Can the sub shaft be replaced from outside the diff it looks as if it is held to the crownwheel shaft by an allen bolt so may be removable this way. Any comments please, not yet an urgent job but..........!

Well I replaced the whole assembly with parts from a company on Ebay £60! & needed a bracket & parts from VW/Seat as mine was obsolete! Extra £80+ did put a description on this forum but it had timed out while I was typing so I lost the lot & I'm so ****** off with this stupid time out I'm not doing it all again! why does a forum time out while you are typing something Admin need to address!!!!!!!!!

What browser are you using?
Have you cleared your browser cache and restarted the browser?
Have you ticked the remember me option when signing in?
The Admin can only address something when they are aware there is something that needs addressing.

Thanks for reply, I'm using Chrome, I hadn't cleared the browser cache today & yes I am remembered. Sorry for getting miffed but I'm not the fastest typist & it took a long time to write the original post. I'm not a very regular user & had forgotten that long posts will time out. When I signed back in the page would not open just blank.
