Morning All,

I have a 2009 MY A3 1.9 TDIe; it’s due for a service soon and I’ll probably take it to my local Audi indy. I will supply the oil but before I buy some can anyone confirm my car has a DPF? Pretty sure it does but just looking for confirmation.

Assuming it does I was thinking of buying either Shell Engine Oil (Helix Ultra Extra 5w30) or Castrol Engine Oil (Edge Fully Syntheic 5w30) from Euro Car Parts. Anyone used either or both and is there anything to choose between them?

This is will be the car’s third variable service based service at 46,000 miles, is it likely to be a biggie?

Cheers,
Dave

Yes it has a DPF also consider Quantum 5w30 fully synthetic, it's Castrol edge with a vag label.

Please change your oil changes to 10k/1 year, you're not doing the engine any favours on longlife.

Chris,

Thanks, I'll bear that in mind.
