knocking under braking

I have replaced all balljoint,arms lower and higher but i still have a knock from both sides(right seems worse)when braking, had the pads out last weekend and re sat them, passed its mot with this phantom knock as well,its driving me nuts......... i can feel the knock through the brake pedal as well!!! Any ideas on this as im getting knarked off with it tbh!
Car is a 1999 a4 2.4 v6 auto avant. 136,000 on the clock.

How are your engine mounts and gearbox mounts and exhaust mounts, if any are poor or weak the whole lot will be moving about and probably allow the exhausts to tap/knock the floor pan of the car when you accelerate/decelerate.
Bearing in mind the v6 obviously has two pipes from the downpipe area and that they are probably mounted on small brackets , to the trannsmission.

All seems nice and tight, top shock mounts could be a possibility ive been told? How would i even check them with the car parked?
