Hi all,
I have an A4 S line with Xenons and I'm now doing more driving in the dark, now that summer is a distant memory, and I've noticed several other drivers are "flashing" me, assuming my lights are on full beam, which they are not. It passed the MOT in the summer so I guess they can't be too far out but is there a way you can lower the lights with VCDS or is there a manual adjustment?
Thanks

Manual adjustment on the top of the headlight, think its a white screw.
Now is the perfect time however to get the alingment checked/done.

Flash back and they will be seeing stars for the next 5 minutes. They will realise they werent on full beam then!

There does seem to be a hell of a lot of cars with poorly aligned lights this year - more than I can say I have noticed in previous years anyway. I wonder if this is yet another symptom of the potholes?

My mate's brand new Renault had a fault in its HID self-levelling system that pointed dipped beam up instead of down. After two weeks of being flashed daily (or nightly, to be precise!), he took it back and had it fixed.
Yours may have passed the MOT a month or two back, but that's no guarantee that it's not developed a fault in the meantime.
A good test of whether your headlights are dazzling others is to try driving behind a police car at night and see what they do!

I'd love Xenons, correctly aligned or not :(

Thought about the police car test but decided against it....;)
I'll try getting my local indy to check & adjust
Thanks for the replies!

6.5 years ago mine (still have it) was delivered with the dipped beam lighting up the underside of the local Airbus traffic.
I did it myself against the garage door using one of the white hex screws as Chris says. No flashes and several MOT passes tells me all is well.
And the range and brightness of the lights are awesome.

I asked for an alignment check a couple of years ago and they said "perfect".
