Why do you want to remove them, the disks will easily come off if you need to replace them. These will remove them Sealey 11 Piece 3 8" Metric Bolt Extractor SET AK7281 | eBay (http://www.ebay.ie/itm/Sealey-11-Piece-3-8-Metric-Bolt-Extractor-Set-AK7281-/390038454944?pt=UK_Hand_Tools_Equipment&hash=item5ad01a82a0)

alternatively, take your car to a garage where they can stick it up on a ramp, weld some big nuts over the bolts , extract them and fit the new bolts you already have, so you can drive off knowing that when you get home you can remove them easily.

That makes sense I thought....

I have just done this job,and it is a real ba**ache, I tried allsorts including Irwin bolt removers, don't waste your money. The only thing was, as the man says, weld some nice big 17mm nuts to the bolts and they come out easy.If you find another way,let us all know.

thanks bobfish its doin my head in i normally try to start wot i finish but this has really got me beat btw once you removed the caliper bolts wot did you relpace them with ? will standard steel bolts work ok any particular size length etc im certainly not goin to go to audi main dealers why they use stupid allen key bolts on a braking system that gets extremely hot & is exposed to al weather conditions is beyound me thanks pal ....:D ... I had new caliper bolts ready. My thinking being that I would copaslip them when putting them in, then grease the heads, and try to find some little rubber caps as per bleed nipple, therefore making sure that next time I need to move them, they will. You could always get some nuts welded on to new bolts before you fitted them.

I've had success nailing in a 3/8th or 1/2 inch hex torx or spline bit and using a spanner or socket to remove the bolt.

You need to select the correct bit carefully ( it needs to not quite fit in the mangled hole) and make sure it is really hit hard all the way home.

The impact helps shock the bolt free, and the hole is cold formed around the bit.

I've successfully used this method on many different occasions, including an A4 rear caliper bolt.

Snap on tools used to sell a range of sockets called Turbo sockets.they are a tappered riffled socket.hammer one on an then get a ratchet and undoe the bolts.not sure if they still sell them.
