Can anyone tell me if my 06 1.9tdi ANU Sharan has a variable vane turbo? I cant see any actuator lever but as I've never seen a vv turbo in the flesh and the turbo is buried at the back of the engine bay I don't really know what I'm doing when it comes to these things.
I'll be doing an EGR/Manifold clean on this car tomorrow in an attempt to increase my atrocious mpg rate so I can fiddle with the turbo then (thinking of doing a Mr. Muscle job on it)
I've noticed a bit of oil around the inlet side of the turbo and around the EGR but I cant tell if these are the result of some very messy oil change practices by the previous owner or the first signs of a problem.
Any help appreciated.
