Can oil in a plug cause a faut code?
I got a 001027 fault code, which disengaged my cruise control and turbo until restart. Forum searches suggested this is a EGR valve problem. I took it off, cleaned and replace gaskets. Parts of the rubber seal between the EGR and anti-shudder valve was missing, and replaced this with new one as well. Oil leaked quite heavily from between the EGR and anti-shudder valve....I presume the seal being the problem (see before photo). When I unplugged the plug/sensor from the EGR it was full of oil. I cleaned this out as best I could. I got two codes since then (same: 001027). Can it be because of the oil in the plug? Will the little bit that I couldn't get out get dry and stop giving the code over time, if it was the reason?
