Chances are any 64GB card will come pre-formatted as exFAT, so you will need to format your card using a special software tool to format as FAT32; windows will only format cards up to 32GB.
I used this: http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/index.htm?guiformat.htm
Just be careful not to format the wrong drive!
I would guess 128GB cards will work too, but I haven't tried this.

I have added a 120GB USB3 SSD. It is powered via the MMI to USB cable and appears to work well. I could not get my 750GB or 2TB USB3 HDD drives working (they would not spin up).
I found a great command line format tool called FAT32Format. It works with SD and HDD card/drives.

Yeah I tried to get a 1tb USB 3 ruggedised HDD to connect and it would not spin up.
Sounds like SDXC is supported if you are using a 64Gb card.... Have you tried loading it up with over 32Gb of stuff and ensuring you can access all of it? Not quite sure how you would do that other than to access the first thing you copied onto it, and the last, and a few selections in between.

How big is the onboard HDD - what is the most anyone has loaded? Be interested to know.

It works with a full 64GB card. I had over 8000 tracks and I could play any of them.
The internal HDD is (I think) 40GB. My SD cards are larger.

Thank you John, looking forward to experimenting with this.

I think it may be 60gb now.... But a big chunk of it is dedicated to the sat nav database.... I know that I filled mine up when I tried to load all my music on it and had to be a bit selective. I think that was only about 20gb of music.
i thought it was 60gb with 50% for personal use but that does not seem to stack up with my experience... If it is stil 40gb then that would measure up but I have this distinct recollection of reading that is is 60gb now.
