Hi All, I have recently changed my RCD 300 to a RCD 310. Everything is working fine (apart from the DAB aerial which I am intending to do today), apart from the aux in channel. This is very weak and it is hard to hear anything from it, apart from a very quiet & distorted playback. Does my car need to be 'told' by vagcom that I have installed this new system?, if yes I will seek out someone who can do that for me. Otherwise it may be that I have disturbed a connection during the installation. Any thoughts please peeps?

Yep you'll need to tell your new headunit there is an aux fitted.
Check the connections going into the quadlock match up with the wiring diagram on the new headunit (sticker usually on top) and that the aux cables are in the same place as the old unit.

Confused.com!!! I might need to hand this over to someone who knows what they are doing. Any suggestions for someone in the Morecambe/Lancaster area? Thanks!
