1.8T Ingition Coil moves...

Hi.

Im no mechanic, but i'll make this simple/quick. The top of this thing (4 of them on top of the engine)... I understand to be the ignition coil?

One of mine slowely works its way up out of the engine.. not miles, but enough that I notice it when I lift the bonet. It starts to get towards the lower part of the rubber at the top.

I've pushed it down 3-4 times and it comes back up over time. What the hell would cause this!?

As a side note, it doesn't effect engine performance in any way, its just bloody aggrevating :P Are there supposed to be clips somewhere and maybe one is missing? I swear it started this since its last service...

Only noticed as I was under the hood putting in screenwash.

hi there, just bought a 03 a4 1.8t 2 weeks ago and a coil went in it last night. popped the hood and the turbo housing pipe was glowing red hot. took it to the garage this morning and discovered that spent coil was leaking fuel into the turbo and burning in it.
