There should not be any reason why not. Just have it coded in properly with VCDS. Block 19 for the installation list, and Block 37 for Navigation
.As you have a red MFD ensure that BAP protocol is not ticked, this is for white displays only

Thanks.
Just thought I'd ask if you think I'd be better with the rns315 or the pioneer avic f910bt?

My personal liking is for VW integration of the HU especially if you have a hi-line dash display. The rout instructions are relayed up to the MFD and you can keep your eyes on the road better.
For to be able to use the Pioneer with the MFSW you will need a CAN box (maybe it comes with this). Have you looked at the Kenwood that VW sells for vehicle £1k fitted and has the Parrot Telephone system fitted.
There is a thread on here for this HU.

I would second the reccomendation for the rns315, its a very nice full featured unit which integrates well with the car. Should be fine in a 2008, might need some coding to get it to talk to the mfsw and highline but will work either way

I have gone with the rns315 but need to know if the bap protocol needs to be unticked on the cars system or on the rns itself.
Please in as layman's terms as possible.
Thanks

Yes the BAP protocall needs to be unticked. BAP is only for white MFD displays you will have a red one.

Been away for a few days, I dont know about the bluetooth module, go to this forum for info and help. You will need to supply more details on the version of your RNS, is is it an A,B or C Version?

Richard,
Can you point me at the thread? And do you know if VW are still doing it? I keep threatening to replace the horrible 300 in my wife's car. Ta.
