Pulled away from a roundabout, shifted into second, car spluttered and died, not starting.
Rolled onto a central reservation, tried starting, splutters like it's going to start and then dies. Pulled fuel pipe off the filter enclosure to make sure fuel is getting there, it is (the filter needs to be changed as it's not been done in about 15-20K as I've not long owned the car and the filter is in the boot to be done this weekend!). Turbo piping seems to all be on, battery is all okay.
Roadside Assistant plugged in his diagnostics kit but it was pretty **** so I imagine it may have a problem not showing on there. I'm thinking it could be some form of sensor maybe camshaft? or injector?
I have tomorrow off work and a pal coming to take a look first thing but I'm screwed for Saturday as I commute 120 miles each day!
Been to garage, nothing came up with his £4K Snap On Diagnostics tool. Changed the Crankshaft Sensor but no luck, he is thinking the injector fuel pump could be gone, would these symptoms not also possibly be the same if the cambelt jumped a tooth, Cambelt is still there so thinking this could be possible. Going to get the garage to check the TDC point and hopefully this could be the issue.
Any help would be appreciated at diagnosing this problem!
