Hi,

Only had my A6 a month so still learning, but playing about with sat nav voice commands when navigation is active, I found the following..

rather than saying "cancel navigation" I mistakingly said "navigation cancel". Rather than canceling, it gave me a summary of my remaining journey, telling me the miles and time until I reach the destination.

this is obviously the wrong command, but it works. Does anyone know what command is the correct one to get this summary? Can't see anything obvious in the manual, but it's good :o

If you say 'Help' the nice lady will give you a list of what you can say.

Probably it misunderstood you when you said Cancel hence the odd reply. Say Help and see what she says.

Yup, got that one, but nothing in that list seemed to offer the journey summary I got with 'navigation cancel', but was driving at the time so may have missed something. Will take another look.

Nest time I am out on the road I will try 'navigation cancel' and see what happens.... maybe you have found, as you say, an undocumented function.

Since reading this thread I decided to try out the VR system today. This is my 4th Audi with it and after a bad experience on my first I never bothered using it since. The newer version seems much better and worked really well for basic functions such as switching between radio and navigation screens. I'm now convinced!

These seem to work well for me..
- 'Redial' - provided you can remember who you phoned last !
- 'Call <name> private (or business etc).
- 'Map Scale ??? yards' e.g. map scale 200 yards, half mile etc
- 'Navigate to <contact name> works well, obviously needs the address as part of the contact

I did the voice training in the MMI setup, works much better after doing that.
