Just had a phone call from dealer asking me to book the car in for an ECU upgrade. Wonder what that's for?
Will also do a Healthcheck - car is 3 months old!!!! :D

Could be the dealer's variation on the Steering recall discussed previously rather than something new.

What did they say when you asked them the reason for the upgrade?

I've had mine recalled too. It's only 2 months old. I asked about the reasons etc and they just advised that the ECU needed a software update and it can't be desperately urgent because I have to wait until 12th Aug for them to fit it in. They said it will take an hour to do.

Your dealer must be looking for business as mine only mentioned that my car was due an upgrade, power steering issue, when I contacted them for a free healthcheck.

Same as istate said - the guy was only arranging the booking in and didn't really know much about anything really. :D
The steering has been fine on mine, so don't know whether that is part of the upgrade, then again the weather's been warm! :D
Finally got my AMI leads. Left it for another month after getting an e-mail from the sales guy saying he was chasing the leads up (yeah right!) and I would get them in a few days - only been waiting three months. Then fired another e-mail to the dealer (not the sales guy) to be told he was no longer with them. Must have annoyed off some other customers who were not as patient as me or with issues more important that just getting some leads. Got the leads in three days!

Gotta ask why you asked for a Healthcheck, how old's the car?!!

Dropped car in today. As thought it was for the steering software update.
Does seem to have lightened the steering up slightly - I was happy as it was, just done a 4 day trip and really enjoyed the drive, the steering was just right.
I might not have been as happy in the winter though if I then experienced the notchiness!
Whilst waiting had the usual wander around outside just as an Audi TT RS soft-top came in - wow, what a great sound and a good looking car. And amongst the cars for sale was a soft-top RS5 in Daytona grey, another looker.
And in the showroom a metallic orangey red SQ5 - Audi certainly have some cracking cars in their line-up at the moment.
