Was just wondering did anybody buy the chrome exhaust tips on eBay they are nearly 75% cheaper than oem part but are they easy to install thanks

they should just slide on im guessing just like the oem ones.

yep more than likely! only real permanant solution is to buy yourself a s-line rear box or get your welder out.

I changed my tips last week.
I chopped off the tips from ny 1.8T mongoose exhaust an got them welded onto my standard 2.5TDI back box,

Got some of the cheaper chrome tips off eBay. They are a perfect fit and slide on, there is a mechanism within that will lock it tight onto the exhaust to prevent it sliding off when driving. So they must be a good replica, they are easy to get off too. The only problem I've had so far as that they have lost their shine. Perhaps because I don't use proper chrome cleaner or wax on them. But they definitely finish the rear off well (that's what she said)... I will take a picture tomorrow and upload..

Any chance of a link to the tips on Ebay that you used? So many on there I'm confused as to which will fit mine! 2008 (58 plate) A4 B8.

I bought the cheap Ebay ones (£18 delivered ISTR) and as soon as I fitted them I tried to pull them off (as a test!) and couldn't. Probably with more time and force they could be removed but they're not going to fall off and would certainly put the casual thief off.

Compared to the geniune ones on my fathers s-line they're almost identical, the s-line ones are darker chrome though.
