View Full Version : Audi offer on Aicon Service

Just letting you all know that as a result of a hellishly hot & sticky drive back up the M6 from Wolverhampton yesterday, I realised my aircon had given up the ghost. First thought was Kwik Fit for their offer of regas for £50 that they quite often have on. However I decided to see what Audi would charge & they have an offer on too - £59 for an aircon service. Not bad eh?
Of course if the service/regas doesn't work, there'll then be a £102 diagnostic charge & any other checks for leaks/repairs/sensor replacement etc on top of that, but let's hope it just needs a regas.

Had my A3 done the other day for £59.
Smelled lovely afterwards and was definitely cooler than before.

Here's hoping its just a regas Brycie, otherwise it could get expensive
Good luck

Well, fixes don't come much cheaper than simply turning the Econ button off :Blush2: D'Oh!!! Many man points lost & lots of dunce awards achieved. Anyway, thought I'd share the special offer with everybody.

The Wife eaid she'd have loved to have seen my face if I'd taken it along to Audi only to be told by them that I had thd Econ button on. Good job I'm not afraid to poke fun at myself. It did cross my mind to just wait & say the regas worked, but what the hell, we all do stupid things - some (me) more than others admittedly lol.

Going out to check now if mine is just the econ button as mine doesn't work either.
If not £59 is reasonable.

Hope it is the Econ button. Surely there can't be two of us made the same mistake. Let us know.

Checked the econ button but the red light won't go out at all. Needs further investigation me thinks!
We only need aircon about 3 days a year up here in Scotland but its good to know it works when you need it.

Thought it would be too much to ask that it was just that. Hope a regas fixes it then.

Hope so as I've just bought the car and it needs 2 new tyres as well this month.
Anyone know what gas it uses off the top of there head as I'm getting all the aircon units in work done next week and it would be handy if it used the same gas. ;)

Got it recharged by the company doing the aircon services in work and hey presto, I have cool air again and no econ light on.

I can see people queueing round the block for you doing £25 regassesin this weather. Your work might be wondering how they're going through so much refrigerant I reckon, but ypu could make a tidy profit :D

Worth a shot eh Chadders, lol. Bet you wish it was just the Econ button, but then that'd mean you were as daft as me & nobody wants to be that daft.

And don't forget losing those vital man points ;)

Haha, fortunately I have an infinite supply of those. In fact I was driving along yesterday with 4 tyres in the boot & back seat and I was thinking that someone should release a car scent made for men. Enough of the 'scents of the forest' & 'strawberry ripple delight' - I'd be happy with a tyre rubber smell, or 4 star petrol scent, or cap gun smell.
