hello all,im new to site as iv just bought a 2.0tdi 140 Passat sport.2006,great car but slowly falling outa love with it.lol.
firstly when I bought car I kindly got injectors done by vw,nothing unusal there.a week ago I was changing oil and noticed all my intercooler pipes were bleeding oil quite badly.
so I bought all new seals for pipes but quickly relized "I no all vw audi tdi sweat from intercooler pipes but there were really oily and asked myself why.so pulled pipe off turbo and there was play in turbo shaft.
theres always supposed to be small play in turbo but there was a good bit in mine,also on first start she had a wee touch of the OWL noise but went away when warm,so I said stuff this,turbos coming off,got turbo reconed and got it early enough bearings just needed replaced,shaft wasn't damaged so sved hundred quid,recon job was 220plus vat.
mcm turbos in co.antrim.it came back like new so was excited to get her right,got it on done a few hundred miles and took belly pan off checked joints,all r fine excempt first joint off turbo is bleeding quite alot.my
Passat is mapped I think,iv been in alot of stardard tdi cars and alot of mapped ones,i am 95percent sure its mapped.but don't believe its over 170bhp.
in theory the map could be causing to much pressure in sump and not letting oil drain away right but not sure.havent cheked intake pipe into turbo yet to see if shes burning oil but getin her cheked on Tuesday.
please help me cause I don't no weather to give up on her or carry on. p.s.car is driving 100 percent. thanx andy
