Newby - Ordered A6 (2014)

I have been lurking for a little while, and I though I would make my first post.

I have ordered a new Audi A6 S-Line. Just waiting for it to be delivered.

There are some great posts, and I look forward to contributing to this forum.

What spec of car did you order?

As an owner of the previous gen of A6 have a soft spot for the new one :Blush: ... just wish the wife would approve the purchase order for one! :biglaugh: ...

Its a A6 Saloon.
S line 3.0 TDI Quattro S-tronic
Daytona Grey, pearl effect
Heat and sound-insulating glass with privacy glass
Storage package
Technology package
with 18" standard wheels.

I am currently driving a 2011 Ford Focus Sport 1.6 TDCI. So its a bit of a step up.

I was going to purchase the A5, but although it was a very pretty car, the wind and road noise (20" wheels) was too loud. I took an A6 out and I wanted one there and then.....unfortunately I had to wait :(

The only negative experience so far has been with the Audi dealers. One sent me out in an A5, which had a gash in the side of the front left wheel that you could put your fingers in, and the other does not call you back.

I was tempted with a BMW X-drive 3 series, but I found the auto-gear box was not smooth.

I have a 3.0 TDi in the old flavour of A6 :) ... I'm such a sucker for the refined drive of that engine ...

I like just doodling along and when you punch the throttle and let her rip it always makes :biglaugh: ...

I always have had manuals but after having the A6 in an auto don't think I could go back!

Welcome to VWAF.

Not a fan of the SE C7 but could be tempted by the S-Line.

Driving an S-Line this weekend trying to weigh up the costs of keeping my C6 against buying a C7 along with trying to persuade the wife.

My wife now wants an A3 or 1 series BMW..... In red.

She will have to wait :)

I wanted the bi- turbo version, but the normal version was pushing my budget.

I have just ordered a roadhawk and I will be getting Paul townsend to detail with C1.

I should get the car in 10-20 days. It's been released to the port.

I had a call with the dealer....I can pick my new car up on Sunday.

I am quite excited.....and I hate waiting. I am getting an outside tap install tomorrow. Just purchased a pressure washer and bits.....so I can keep the car nice and clean.....along with the wife's car :D
