Hi all,
Im a newbie to the forum and the A6. Just placed a deposit on this car http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/uvl/popup.jsp?currentaction=searchresults&e2w=266987&dropdowntype=uvl&sort=5&did=266987&csslocation=http://dealerservices.autotrader.co.uk/dealers/266987/266987&partner=UVL&miles=1500&postcode=ca64nq&configfile=http://dealerservices.autotrader.co.uk/dealers/266987/266987_config.xml&max_records=200&action=searchresults&id=201304499363989&distance=6

And im not sure if I'm in the right sub-forum? I test drove an identical one a couple of days ago and although it felt a bit sluggish and much less planted than my current BM 123d the levels of kit, luxury and have swayed me.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me much about this model and trim level (it's an s-line special edition)? I've been reading loads of threads on the forum but the amount of options and different navs, audio systems etc is absolutely bewildering to me! Alternatively can someone point me in the direction of the best resources to learn about the car?

Thanks guys.
Great forum

Welcome to VWAF

That's a C6, so I have moved your thread to here Audi A6 - C6 Forum - 2005 - 2010 (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/forumdisplay.php?328-Audi-A6-C6-Forum-2005-2010)

Your Special Edition was previously a Le Mans - so look here under Le Mans for standard equipment for your car http://www.audi.co.uk/content/dam/audi/production/PDF/UsedCars/Refresh/A6/A6%20-%20November%2009.pdf

Going by the pictures, you have DVD navigation, this is shown in the brochure above.

You don't seem to have BOSE but being a MMI 3G car, you will have AUDI DSP which is just as good.

Have a look round the C6 section and look for posts regarding the Facelift model, you'll find a wealth of info in there.

You can also decode your option codes on the data sticker in your spare wheel well here http://igorweb.org/equidec/

You can also decode your vin by buying a €2 service which will provide more than enough information about your car here also - http://www.woundride.com/vag/vin/

A few of us have done it with no problems.

Anymore questions feel free to ask.

The link given by Chris is incorrect ... I think he meant to give you this one Link:- # VAG Cars Explorer - VIN Search Tool - VW * Audi * Seat * Skoda - Sponsored by TOPWAGEN.COM (http://www.woundride.com/vag/vin/)

Wow this forum is amazing. Thanks so much, looking forward to getting the car now. There's a few things I'd like to see if I can upgrade so it looks like I've got a lot of reading to do
