2003 A6 with occasional stall

I have a 2003 Audi A6 1.9TDI 130. Just now and again, it has an occasional stall. Not very often, just every couple of days. It could just be me, but I am unsure. It has a 5 speed gearbox and I have been told by a mate that there is no problem and the 5 speed models just do that.

Doesn't sound right? In what situation does it do this?

First thing I would do is check all the hoses (air) for any splits.

It does this when you are pulling off from stop or in slow traffic.
