A friend of mine asked to jump start his car from my Allroad. From looking at the connection (and the battery in the boot) it's not the same as jump starting from other cars.
I can see on mine that there is the red capped positive connection on the top left hand side of the engine when I am facing the front of the car that I can connect to his battery from.

Is there anything that I can do that might cause problems for my car by doing this? What's the correct way to use my Audi A6 Allroad to jump start anther car (mines 2006)?

Jump from the points under the bonnet, your manual states this too.

Jumped another car from my A6 using the points and have had no problems.

I would never suggest jump starting other cars it puts so much extra load on the alternator

I only see one point - the one top left corner with a red plastic cap on it? I don't have the manual in the car right now.
Where's the other point?
