Hi all, the Engine Management Light came on last night and I've just had the codes read. It is pulling up code P0020 and the description of 'A' Camshaft Position Actuator Circuit (Bank 2. Has anyone else experienced this or any suggestions for what it could be? I did a quick Google but it didn't pull up much. Thanks In Advance.

Thats about all that I found but I'm not entirely sure what it means. Is it the camshaft position sensor thats faulty?!?

One of the techs at work scanned it with a bluetooth dongle attached to a tablet. No one near me has Vagcom.

Well in that case I would suggest booking it into Audi for diagnostics for a proper diagnosis if there isn't a VCDS user near you, sorry!

Can't say one component fault but - Causes
A P0022 DTC trouble code may be caused by one or more of the following:
Incorrect camshaft timing
Wiring problems (harness/wiring) in intake timing control valve control solenoid system
Continuous oil flow to VCT piston chamber
Failed timing valve control solenoid (stuck open)
Possible Solutions
The main thing to check is to verify the operation of the VCT solenoid. You're looking for a sticking or stuck VCt solenoid valve caused by contamination. Refer to vehicle specific repairhttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png (http://www.obd-codes.com/p0022#) manual to perform component tests for the VCT unit. Notes: Dealer techs have advanced tools and the ability to follow detailed troubleshooting steps, including the ability to test components using a scan tool.

Hi denlaa :) ...
My suggestions :-
i) google for SSP 411 (currently its the last link on the search page I saw ;) ) , page 12 & 13 show some of the elec. cam elements plus other pages have more info about them ...
ii) also google for SSP 325 , from page 30 info on 3.2 V6 start ....
iii) get a VCDS / VAG diags ... you may find you get info with the fault code which will relate to some of the elements on pages 46 & 47 of SSP 325 ...
iv) PM Crasher or there are others I can suggest who would have real hands on experience with your engine ...
