Hi all, I'm been offered a new set of alloys at a very good price and the only hold up I have is the offset....
My car is a 2006 A4 S-Line and it currently has 18" x 8 ET45 which sit fine,
the wheels I'm hoping to buy are 18" x 8 ET32 which I believe will stick out a bit more... approx 10 to 13mm
I won't be near my car for a couple of days to get a proper look but with 225 40 18 tyres should I be okay?
My current wheels are not genuine and I'm not sure what the OEM offset should be either, I have a funny feeling its not ET45?
any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks :)

Well the 13mm bit is right. Based on what you have written wheels with an ET of 32 would tuck into the wheel arch by 13 mm, that is more of the wheel would be inside the wheel arch. This is assuming a like for like tyre swap of course. You also need to check the pcd is right for your car and the spigot size is right, assuming the wheels are spigot located. It should take about 10 minutes to test fit the new wheel you've been offered then you'll know for sure.

Thanks..... I'm planning on swapping the 225 40 18 tyres across to the new rims,
the pcd is 5 x 112 and the spigot is a match also, just a bit worried about been 13mm closer to the wheel arch......
do you know what the original offset should be for the A4 (B7) S-Line as my old alloys are non-genuine,

First off an apology, I got my sums wrong yesterday. The new wheel would ,as you said stick out more than the current one by 13 mm. The data for what offsets work is confusing but I can't see anything that says anything lower than ET 35 will work without potential rubbing on the wheel arch. There is a useful reference here Audi Fitting Charts and Wheel Fitment Guide | Alloy Wheels Direct (http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/information/fitting_chart/audi)

Hi all... took a gamble and it paid off, they fit fine and don't look too bad either! :D

Looks good.
I run 18x8 ET32 also.
The fronts are perfectly in line with the arch, but I'm considering a 5mm spacer on the rears.
