Sunroof & windows now refusing to open or close off the lock/open button on keyfob

Long press today does nothing at all apart from lock the vehicle, always worked before. Tried both keys, checked settings on car systems for both. Worked a few days ago.

Any ideas?

Oh, and my squeak over bumps in the road is back, must be time for another set of whatever is it they change every time it happens.

I know on my A3 I need to press the unlock button once and then do the long press.

A fault code scan would help but as you're under warranty get it straight back ;)

Yes, tried that Chris, didn't make any difference. I've run out of garages around me now who I can tolerate for any period of time. Do you know if you can go indy and have them bill Audi directly for the less inflated price? I think this question is rhetorical.

The only option I can find is the one I enabled about a year ago, which is to "open" the windows and sunroof. There isn't an option on mine for "closing" I believe that's just a default - albeit something that can be fiddled with in VCDS. Can anyone confirm - about the defaults, not the VCDS?

Do they work (automatically from door buttons) all the way up or down? If there has been incidents, the auto function does not work and you have to manually with fully (two clicks) press the button until window reaches the end stop and you can hear the motor stopping. This is to protect the copper's hand to be injured if left between the closing window and frame. No ideas for the sunroof, could be similar procedure.

Yes I know what you mean. They all worked as expected from the buttons inside the car last night, including the sunroof, and the sun blind. Think it was last seen working off the key fob last week.

Just pulled the battery and reconnected, now appears to be working correctly again. Another VAGUE error that I won't be able to replicate in the dealership, along with the occasional slow pop-up of the MMI screen.

So, as of now all windows will open off the key fob and close again on long press lock. Today. Well, before 9am anyway, can't tell what's going to happen later.

Just come back from Bridgwater Volkswagen to order a replacement key for my Transporter. What a nice bunch of helpful people. Pleasant surprise. Ironically it'll probably a VW for us next time round, cheaper part of the VW Group but less up themselves - and DSG boxes.
