Hi, Is there anyone out there in the Medway/Kent area with a vag-com willing to help with my 2.0 SE (Y reg) Bora engine management light. The light came on recently and there is no obvious problem so I'm stumped. I asked on here whether to get a fault code reader or vag-com. Vag-com came out on top. I'm willing to travel and compensate anyone who helps. Thanks.Andy

Hi, have you checked your brake lights to see if they are all working? This is a common cause to the Engine Management light flashing.

If none of the brake lights are working then chances are something is up with your brake light switch. It may need replaced/adjusting or just a good clean.

For details of where to find the brake lighst switch and how to replace it just have a search in the forum.

without reading the codes it could be anything..

A mate of mine lives just off the M2 at the Medway services.. (if your from that area you will know the shortcut!!) he's just down in Rainham..

I should be going down there in a few weeks.. nothiong set in stone as yet, but if i do i will let you know if you have not resolved it.

RickT, That would be excellent as I live in Rainham, two minutes drive from the medway services. If I get it sorted before, i'll let you know.

Hi Loofer, thanks for replying. All brake lights are all working. The light is on constantly not flashing. Don't know if this alters the problem.
